How to make Dropbox files online-only
Hard drive full? Your Dropbox files don't have to live on your computer. Here's how to make them online only. I'm Calvin, and let me show you how.
Open your Dropbox folder in Finder or File Explorer. Right click any file or folder and select make online only. It moves to the cloud instantly and clears off of your local drive. The file still shows up in your folder, and it just lives online now.
But what if you need it back? Open it, and it downloads automatically.
To do this in bulk, open the Dropbox app and select manage hard drive space.
Sort by size, check the files you wanna move, and select move to online only.
You're all set. More space on your drive and nothing deleted from your Dropbox. If this helped, make sure to share it with someone who needs it. Thanks for watching.
