Connect apps in Dropbox Dash

Let's start on connected apps. That's the critical piece of the foundation Dash uses to help you be successful. Dash connects to the apps that you already use, like Dropbox, Dropbox, Google Drive, Slack, Gmail, Microsoft three sixty five. So when connected, search can reflect your real work, not just a slice of it. There are a few types of apps, one of which are company apps that are connected on a team wide basis by your admin. Here in the apps panel, you'll see the apps that are already connected by your admin based on this checkmark. Then there are the user apps, where you can connect other apps relevant to your job with admin control over which apps are available.

Think of apps that'll make an impact on your specific workday. Examples like Gmail, Workday, Salesforce, Notion.

Since connected apps respect current privacy and permission settings, I want to avail myself of as many of these as possible since the more places that Dash can search, the more effective it will be. Now, with everything connected, instead of starting from a blank page or switching between tools, Dash Chat will work directly with my documents, text messages, and files that I already have, ensuring that my answers come from my organization's content, not just the web.
