Installing SSO for Dropbox One Login
Cómo instalar el SSO para Dropbox OneLogin
In this video, we're going to look at a single sign-on configuration using OneLogin and Dropbox. We recommend you do this as a team admin. You'll need access to both the OneLogin interface and the Dropbox admin console.
From OneLogin, navigate to applications, and add an app. Search for Dropbox and choose the top one that supports SAML 2.0 and provisioning. You can rename this to your preferred choice; I'm using the name of my team. Keep the rest as default with the logos visible, and the description will appear inside the portal. Now click save.
There are a few things to set up here. If you're a first-time user doing the setup, you have a guided URL that can take you step by step. You can make changes as you go and save with each step.
For configuration, you can choose whether or not to use silent provisioning, which prevents sending an email to the user when they're being provisioned. You can leave this blank for now.
Next, give permission to this app to be able to perform actions like user provisioning and activation for Dropbox. Authenticate to show that you own the team by clicking authenticate.
For the signature algorithm, change it to SHA-256 and copy the information provided. Paste the identity provider sign-in URL into Dropbox settings and click done. Update the certificate by downloading it from OneLogin and uploading it to Dropbox.
Now, set up user provisioning by enabling it and allowing OneLogin permissions to manage Dropbox users. Choose what happens when users are deleted in OneLogin, whether to delete them or do nothing.
Now, you can assign users to the application. You can assign them directly or by using roles in OneLogin. Roles are groups of users assigned to the same SSO applications.
Once assigned, you can see the users and their status. Some users may show as pending if they require manager approval. You can manage these users by sending a reminder email.
That's how you configure single sign-on using OneLogin with Dropbox. Thank you for watching.
