The Dropbox for Good Donation Program provides eligible organizations with access to Dropbox and Dropbox Sign so your team can focus on what matters most: your mission.
What you get
- Free Dropbox account (up to 20 licenses in perpetuity). This includes all of the features in our current Advanced plan
- Free Dropbox Sign account (up to 5 licenses in perpetuity)
To be eligible for the Dropbox for Good product donation, you must:
- Be recognized as a charitable or nonprofit organization by the local regulator in the country where you are registered (e.g., 501(c)3 in the US)
- Have a mission aligned with human and civil rights, disaster relief, or climate action
- Ensure all Dropbox product use is strictly limited to supporting your nonprofit’s core mission
- Complete the nonprofit verification and program eligibility application process, managed by our partner Goodstack. Dropbox reserves the right to request re-verification at any point.
Who is not eligible
At this time, the program does not support:
- For-profit organizations or individuals
- Political organizations or lobbying groups
- Government entities or higher education institutions
- Organizations that produce, publish, or facilitate content that promotes discrimination, hate speech, or violence.
Not everyone may meet our eligibility requirements to qualify for this program. Dropbox sets these guidelines and determines an organization’s qualification at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to grant or deny an organization’s application or participation at any time, for any reason, and to supplement or amend eligibility guidelines at any time.

- Get reviewed: Our team reviews your eligibility and mission alignment.
- Get started: If approved, you will receive a link to access your Dropbox and/or Dropbox Sign donation, as well as a link to resources you can use to roll out to your team.

How will the nonprofit know the eligibility is approved?
If approved, the nonprofit will receive a link to access their Dropbox and/or Dropbox Sign donation, as well as a link to resources they can use to roll out to their team.
Can the nonprofit get more than 20 licenses?
The product donation program provides eligible nonprofits with one Dropbox account, including up to 20 licenses, at no cost in perpetuity. If the nonprofit requires more than 20 licenses, it may create an additional Dropbox account and receive a nonprofit discount to support its growing needs.
The nonprofit already has a Dropbox account. Will they lose any data during the migration to the free donation plan?
No, there will be no data loss. Please note that the product donation is the Advanced plan. Find a feature comparison here.
What if the nonprofit is already paying for their Dropbox account? Will they be refunded?
If the nonprofit is paying via credit card, the nonprofit can be entitled for a prorated refund based on the remaining paid subscription.
What if the nonprofit wants to upgrade, can they?
Unfortunately, no. Under the Dropbox for Good product donation program, they are not able to upgrade. However, we can offer a nonprofit discount for upgrades and product add-ons.
